Nesh Mediterranean Grill is the brainchild of three partners who
share a great passion and desire to create an innovative
restaurant experience, offering delicious, healthy and fresh
meals in a family-friendly atmosphere.
Joe Kashkeesh
Born at Weiss Memorial Hospital on the north side of Chicago,
not far from the new restaurant, Joe has always loved Chicago
where he played sports and grew up surrounded by family and
friends. Joe graduated from the University of Illinois with a
degree in accounting and quickly took and passed the CPA exam.
He worked in public accounting for several years, but growing up
in a family where his father was a successful entrepreneur, it
was only a matter of time before he followed his dreams of
owning his own business. “I was always with my father, so the
free enterprise system was instilled in me practically from
birth.” He, his brother and his cousin own more than a half
dozen successful businesses. Joe is also an avid basketball
player and swimmer. He and his brother, Freddy, are Chicago Cubs
fans, hoping they will see the team win in a World Series.
Freddy Kashkeesh
Freddy was also born at Weiss Memorial, and like his brother, he
grew up loving sports, being close to family and friends and
learning the rudiments of running a successful business. He
graduated in engineering at Devry University. Freddy is a great
soccer player!
Rami Kashkeesh
Rami was born and raised in Jerusalem where he pursued a degree
in accounting. Like a lot of college students, Rami worked in
the restaurant business; in his case, as a head chef in a very
popular and busy Mediterranean restaurant in Jerusalem. He has
always dreamed of one day owning his own restaurant. Prior to
joining his two cousins, Rami was working in the banking
industry but it wasn’t long before he realized his dream was
somewhere else. Along with his two cousins, Joe and Freddy, he
successfully runs and owns several other businesses around the
Chicago area and beyond. Rami is also happily married and has
two beautiful children. In his free time Rami enjoys spending
time with his family, traveling, and has a passion for cooking.
Rami has traveled extensively all across the globe, some of his
favorite places are Turkey, Italy, Israel, and the Caribbean. He
also enjoys spending plenty of time in the beautiful city of
Chicago. Watch OUT! He is also a diehard Chicago White Sox fan.
At the age of 7, Rami began practicing karate, is now a black
belt and manages to practice in his spare time!
